Who We Need

Provide an implementation of a consistent and quality program in accordance with the agency’s mission statement, the program description, and contract requirements for youth residential treatment facility. Maintain the orderly delivery of services through the implementation of current clinical procedures and applicable standards and regulations. Implement a quality program that promotes person-centered planning and clinically appropriate practices, including the following principles for serving youth with behavioral health needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health field (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology)
  • One year of full-time work experience in the behavioral health field required.
  • Licensed at the associate level at a minimum with the State of Arizona, i.e., LMSW, LMHC, LAC
  • Good academic and working knowledge of DSM IV, State SMI checklist, Community Resources, Psychotropic Medication, Crisis Intervention, Clinical Methods and Procedures, and Intervention Techniques
  • Ability to pass a full background clearance to include state background check clearance.
  • Experience working with children and youth with behavioral health needs and intellectual/ Developmental disabilities.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid Driver’s License with state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet and maintain Copa Health’s acceptable driving requirements

JOB SUMMARY (Including, but not limited to):

  • Provides services to include but are not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, group therapy, coordination of care with members of the teams, staffing meetings as appropriate.
  • Completes documentation to include but not limited to consents, assessments, ISPs, coordination of care with team members, individual therapy and group therapy.
  • Provides counseling services based on medical necessity and appropriateness.
  • Involves people identified by the client to participate in treatment.
  • Keeps up with new developments in the field.
  • Determines risks for danger to self or others. Use established criteria or tools for assessing acuity of symptoms and service needs. Determine special circumstances that may affect individual’s judgment, ability to participate in treatment planning, and forensic/legal involvement.
  • Meets the unique needs of adults or children with mental health issue, substance use concerns, have a seriously mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
  • Assist in accessing community services/resources.
  • Provides culturally sensitive counseling services.
  • Conducts integrated assessments and develops individualized integrate service plans.
  • Delivers services based on respect, cooperation, professional boundaries and accountability.
  • Completes documentation by the end of the workday and no later than 24 hrs from service delivery at 95%
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with clients for reaching appropriate treatment goals and maintains professional relationships with adult recovery teams, funding sources and outside customers.
