Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with neurodivergent individuals providing support using trauma-informed ABA. This role is crucial in helping clients achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life by implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA, LBA).
Duties
- Provide patient care by implementing behavioral therapy strategies tailored to each individual.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Perform patient assessments to monitor behavioral changes and effectiveness of interventions.
- Support individuals in daily activities, promoting independence and skill development.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that foster social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions.
- Maintain compassion at the forefront of treatment and ensure clients assent to treatment
Requirements
- Experience or training in applied behavior analysis (ABA) is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop tailored intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation standards.
- Compassionate approach to work
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and families.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral therapy.
