Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Department is seeking experienced Clinical Psychologists to provide direct patient care in outpatient settings and affiliated nursing facilities. This role offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and participation in innovative pilot programs within a coordinated care model. Most responsibilities can be fulfilled remotely, with on-site presence required 2–3 days per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for patients referred by Primary Care Providers using evidence-based tools.
- Provide psychotherapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), crisis intervention, and behavioral activation.
- Develop and recommend individualized treatment plans.
- Refer patients to psychiatric services as needed.
- Coordinate care by reviewing clinical documentation and communicating with healthcare providers and health home teams.
- Offer crisis intervention services and perform risk assessments when necessary.
- Engage patients who have limited behavioral health service utilization through structured outreach.
- Document clinical services promptly and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Ph.D. or PsyD).
- Valid New York State license and registration as a Psychologist.
- Fluency in Spanish is mandatory to meet patient population needs.
Work Location: This position follows a hybrid work model:
- Remote work for the majority of responsibilities.
- On-site attendance required 2–3 days per month at designated clinical facilities.
