We are looking for an approved Clinical Supervisor, AZBBHE, who is credentialed with the Supervisory Protocol for OPTUM/UHC. All applicants will need to check with Optum or send us your NPI and TaxID so we can call OPTUM to verify.

Location: Arizona (Hybrid: In-person & Telehealth)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $100 - $150/hr based on experience and supervisory caseload

The Healing Effect is a compassionate, collaborative group private practice committed to exceptional client care and professional development. We're growing and currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor (LPC or LCSW) to join our leadership team.

Important: This position requires that you are currently credentialed with Optum/United Healthcare and have Supervisory Protocol status included in your UHC contract. Applicants who do not meet this requirement cannot be considered.

The Role

This is a key leadership role with an immediate and time-sensitive need due to credentialing transitions. Responsibilities include:

• Providing individual and group supervision for up to 10 supervisees (LMSWs, LACs, and graduate interns)
• Maintaining clinical oversight and documentation in compliance with AZ licensure and insurance standards
• Offering mentorship, clinical consultation, and guidance to early-career clinicians
• Collaborating with admin staff to ensure effective support for supervisees’ client care and caseload development
• Staying in good standing with all relevant licensure and credentialing bodies

Qualifications

• Active LPC or LCSW, or PsyD license in Arizona
• Credentialed with OPTUM/UHC and has Supervisory Protocol status in UHC contract (required)
• Approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) to provide clinical supervision
• Must have completed the required 12-hour AZBBHE-approved supervisor training
• Must appear on the AZBBHE license lookup as meeting supervisor requirements
• Supervisory experience preferred, but open to strong clinicians confident in providing oversight
• Passion for supporting newer clinicians in a learning-rich environment
