Our District has an exciting Before and After Care Program for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade called "Beyond the Bell." We are seeking counselors to lead, supervise, participate in, and implement activities for children aged 5 – 11 years. Selected individuals will ensure the safety and well-being of children, as well as the smooth operation of program activities, including arts and crafts, stories, indoor and outdoor play, and homework. Selected individuals will be assigned to various District 64 schools in Park Ridge.
Qualifications: This position requires six months of experience dealing with children ages 5-11 and a basic level of written and verbal communication in the English language. CPR/AED and First Aid Certified preferred.
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) or currently enrolled in a state-approved high school program
Availability: Position to start in early August and continue through the 2025-2026 school year. We are seeking applicants to work weekday mornings, afternoons, or a combination of both as needed.
Approximate available shifts are:
6:45 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. Monday through Friday
3:15 P.M. – 6:15 P.M. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
2:15 P.M. – 6:15 P.M. Wednesday
