This position offers the flexibility to provide virtual 1:1 clinical therapy and in-person group therapy sessions across Riverside County. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with at-risk youth, survivors of human trafficking, and individuals with a history of trauma and abuse.

You must be flexible, aligned with trauma-informed, faith-integrated principles, and confident in supporting vulnerable populations. This role also includes the opportunity to train and guide other staff or interns in trauma-informed practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans and compliance with medical terminology and coding standards (ICD-10).
  • Facilitate 1:1 therapy (virtual or in-person) and lead in-person group sessions
  • Provide trauma-informed care using evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing)
  • Integrate faith-based approaches when appropriate and requested by clients
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (SOAP notes, treatment plans, progress tracking)
  • Collaborate with case managers, life coaches, and other staff as needed
  • Offer training and consultation to non-clinical staff on trauma-informed best practices
  • Participate in occasional team meetings or case consultations
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work and mental health.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active license in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD/PhD/Master's degree)
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care
  • Experience working with high-risk or underserved populations
  • Comfortable with both virtual and in-person service delivery
  • Able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
  • Willingness to travel within Riverside County and some locations in San Bernardino (as needed)

Skills:

  • Experience with group facilitation
  • Faith-based or Christian counseling background (optional but encouraged)
  • Ability to train or supervise paraprofessionals in trauma-informed principles
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (SimplePractice or similar)

Schedule:

  • Part-time, flexible (2–4 hours per week)
  • Later afternoon and evenings
  • No night shifts
  • Occasional weekend work as needed

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: Between $75 to $100/per hour
  • Mileage reimbursement (for in-person sessions)
