Provides support to individuals with Mental Health (MH) or Substance Abuse Issues in residential, school, workplace and community settings. These interventions are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Staff ratio takes into consideration evening and weekend hours, needs of special populations and geographical areas to be served. Persons who meet the requirements specified for Qualified Professional (QP) status have the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population and age to be served may deliver supports within the requirements of the staff definition specified in the service definitions. Relies on supervision and direction to provide quality services. Responsibilities include providing support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues in home, school, workplace and community settings; assisting individuals with living independently with strength-based interventions promoting recovery and symptom reduction; facilitating relationships and serving as a link between individuals served, company, family, guardians, local agencies and community; minimizing negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence; supporting client skill building activities; performing case management functions; working closely with clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and expedite service implementation; and other duties as assigned. Position requirements include meeting Qualified Professional criteria with relevant education and experience, license or certification as required.
