CLINICAL DIRECTOR

The Clinical Director will serve as the leader of their respective location, overseeing the daily clinical operations and ensuring effective and efficient treatment is provided to Early Bird's ABA clients. The Clinical Director will work closely with the Owner and Co-Owner to maximize clinic capacity to ensure minimum wait list times for potential new patients. The Clinical Director will also oversee all clinical plans, implementation of applied behavior analysis programs and staff training. The Clinical Director will work with a team of BCBAs, BCaBAs, Case Managers, and Registered Behavioral Technicians to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

● Serve as final reviewer for all Treatment Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans written by BCBAs, BCaBAs, and Case Managers at assigned location.

● Overseeing the training of behavior technicians and other staff to appropriately and successfully apply the principles of behavior through application of positive behavior intervention techniques.

● Ensure clinical integrity of RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBAs application of Applied Behavior Analysis.

● Reviewing clinical data and ensuring clinical progress and treatment effectiveness.

● Overseeing clinical integrity within each individual Applied Behavior Analysis program at assigned location, including reviewing programs, analyzing data, and implementation of programs.

● Oversee clinical utilization for clients at assigned location by collaborating with

administrator and scheduler (if applicable).

● Oversee insurance treatment plans, including ensuring that plans are submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate plan.

● Assist with the interview and hiring process of RBTs, BCaBAs, BCBAs.

● Oversee all Program Leads and individuals seeking BCBA/BCaBA independent fieldwork hours.

● Ensure assigned clinic has adequate teaching materials, supplies and equipment.

● Assist in problem solving concerns of stakeholders, patients and staff.

● Determining when to onboard new patients for assigned location.

● Determining when to hire new staff members to accommodate location clinical needs. Any other duties as assigned.

● Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, etc.) and functional assessment measures

● Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and

school/daycare-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data

● Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives

● Teaches ABA Therapists and Registered Behavioral Technicians on the proper implementation of clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems

● Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation

● Meets regularly with Owner and Co-Owner of Early Bird’s ABA and notifies her immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction

● Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Owner and Co-Owner of Early Bird’s ABA

● Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours

Additional Requirements

● Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner

● Participates in professional meetings or conferences for continuing education

● Adheres to the mission, vision and values of Early Bird’s ABA

Education and Experience Required:

● Master’s degree in behavior analysis, Psychology, special education, social work, speech language pathology, or related field required

● BCBA certification required

● Have completed Supervision requirements set forth by the BACB is required

● At least five-years experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities

● At least three-years experience as a BCBA supervising RBTs, BCaBAs, and/or Case Managers.

● Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these services

● Experience with staff training and supervision

● Must be proficient with DTT, NET, ABA Program Development, Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures, and Staff Training

● Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multi- task

● Must be able to work well as part of a team

BENEFITS

● 15 days/year vacation for sick and/or personal days (subject to change based on Clinic Schedule)

● Annual bonus to be determined by the owners of Early Bird’s ABA

● Paid Time Off- if there is unused allotted time off it will be lost if unused.

Work Expectations:

● Work in Clinic Monday - Friday 40 hours/week

  • As needed, supervise late afternoon clients and/or Case Manager/BCaBA
  • time spent working late may be adjusted on a different day
  • must be there to open daily
  • Clinic hours are 9am-6pm

● About 10 hours billable time per week (this time may decrease as Case Managers are added); Assessments, treatment plan writing and updates, supervision, parent training, IEP meetings

● Additional 30 hours: managing/clinical duties, meetings, reviewing treatment plans, reviewing data and updating data collection system

● Provide high-quality care to our clients.

● Abide by all ethical guidelines set forth by the BACB.

● Maintains client privacy in accordance with HIPAA laws.

● Maintain the clinic's reputation for an organized, team environment.

● Behave professionally with all staff members, clients, and caregivers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $105,000.00 per year
