- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional environment
- Manage patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out processes
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other medical offices to ensure seamless patient care
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system
- Process patient information while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Organize and maintain treatment areas, reception, and storage spaces
- Handle multiple phone lines and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Facilitate smooth daily clinic operations through effective communication with staff and patients
- Manage administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and updating patient information
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year medical office receptionist experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Record systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance verification and authorization processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with scheduling software and healthcare management systems
- Proven multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environments
- Physical capability to perform periodic lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods
