Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and providing administrative support within a dental office environment. The Patient Care Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently handling various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with medical regulations.
- Assist with insurance verification and processing to facilitate smooth billing operations.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, staff, and patients to coordinate care plans.
- Utilize dental terminology to accurately document patient interactions and procedures.
- Support the dental office team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology is preferred for effective communication and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in office software applications to assist with administrative duties is required.
