Position Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments with clients, using different assessment methods
- Develop a treatment plan and write recommendations for services
- Design appropriate data collection systems to ensure accurate measurement of all target behaviors
- Analyze data and update treatment plans accordingly
- Provide supervision to RBTs on implementation of programs including
- Supervise students who are accruing hours towards their BCBA certification
- Provide parent training to all clients on caseload
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients and their families
- Seek appropriate consultation on a treatment plan, as needed
- Effectively communicate, both in written and verbal formats, with parents, RBTs and Clinical Director about the client's progress
- Train staff to effectively use de-escalation techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Participate in collaborative team meetings
- Complete reassessments with clients, as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Attend training required to maintain and acquire technical knowledge
- Adhere to the ethical standards outlined by the BACB
- Participate in recruitment events
- Assist with the preparation of client materials
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and train others on clinical protocols
Required
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum 1-year experience working with children diagnosed with ASD
- Experience training and supervising RBTs
- Preferred: Ability to supervise students for the purpose of accruing experience hours for the BACB
- Valid Michigan driver's license (an advantage) and reliable transportation
- CPR certification
- Completion of a Level 2 background clearance
- Must be able to lift and carry clients up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting and standing) for extended periods of time
