The Licensed Therapist will work with patients to diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders. The Therapist will create individual treatment plans, according to patient needs and circumstances, and meet with patients remotely to provide counseling services while conducting ongoing assessments to ensure quality services are being provided and patient is progressing toward their goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. - Assess patients and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Create a treatment plan for patients based on the needs of the individual.
- Refer patients to other healthcare professionals if necessary.
- Work with family members and others supports, as needed, as part of treatment for the patient.
- Work with any patients in crisis situations, evaluate risk and initiate appropriate response to promote client safety.
- Complete CSSRS or other crisis tools and link to or provide necessary services that may include, but are not limited to, IPH admission, crisis planning, referral.
- Complete mental health and substance use evaluations for IPH discharged patients, high risk patients, critical care patients, and patients referred from psychiatric inpatient facilities outside Bowen Health, and other patients as needed and link them to necessary services.
- Attend all required clinical supervision sessions and staff meetings.
- Provide counseling services using evidenced based practices, within CSO-approved clinical scope of practice, and complete required documentation of services rendered.
- Practice measurement-based care by the routine use of approved patient outcome measures
- Provide referrals and linking to services to support an integrative care model of treatment. Referrals include but not limited to community resources, medical providers and transportation services.
- Advocate for and practice in a welcoming, inclusive and non-discriminatory manner.
- Practice in full alignment with Bowen Health and professional trade association ethics codes including, but not limited to maintaining strong, appropriate provider-patient boundaries and avoiding dual relationships.
- Maintain credentials with all applicable managed care contracts by completing the necessary documentation and submit it on a timely basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with Bowen Health's core values of respect, integrity, mission and stewardship.
- Experience evaluating high-risk patients (which is at least 75% of service provider's caseload) who are receiving services before inpatient admission and after Hospital discharge.
- Ability to connect patients with necessary services including, but not necessarily limited to, mental health, substance use, and medication services.
- Ability to work as a team member and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with the referring partner to best address patient needs.
- Thorough and empathetic communication skills.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Knowledge of the impact of child abuse and neglect and other forms of trauma.
- Ability to be patient, nonjudgmental, and emotionally mature.
- Ability to exercise sound judge.
- Knowledge and belief in family preservation philosophy.
- Knowledge of integrated care model and the relationship between behavioral and physical health.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master's level degree in psychology or related field, Ph.D. or PsyD from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Prefer one (1) year of experience in community mental health setting.
- Certificate or Professional License: LCAC, LMFT, LMHC or LCSW licensure and ability to practice in Indiana is required.
- Valid driver's license and active auto insurance coverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
