As a Behavior Interventionist with IABA, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities like Autism by implementing personalized treatment plans, encouraging skill development, and providing the resources and support needed for our clients to achieve their goals!

Using the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will provide one-on-one support in the home, school, and community, using our positive-only methods to encourage desired behaviors and enhance play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.

For over 40 years, IABA has been providing high quality, person-centered treatment for children and their families. We take great pride in the work we do, and continue to advocate for the community we serve.

Paid, hands-on training provided, including shadowing sessions with a supervisor

WAGE RANGE: $20-28 per hour

LOCATION: San Fernando Valley Area (Open cases in Canoga Park, North Hollywood, Northridge, Van Nuys, Porter Ranch, San Fernando, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, etc.)

HOURS: Full & Part Time Positions Available!

Full Time: 30+ hours per week

Monday-Friday 8:00am- 6:30pm +½ weekend day

Minimum: Mon-Fri 8am-3pm

Part Time Schedule Options:

Monday-Friday 8am-3pm

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8am-3pm

or Tuesday/Thursday 8am-3pm

Responsibilities
  • Conducting one-on-one direct ABA therapy sessions in school or in home
  • Assisting the client throughout the day with academic & daily living tasks
  • Teaching adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills
  • Encouraging the practice of desired behaviors with positive reinforcement
  • Data collection and analysis to track client progress
  • Ensuring a safe, encouraging environment where kids and teens can be themselves
  • Advocating for individuals with disabilities in all settings
  • Upholding the highest standard of ethical practices


Requirements
  • US work authorization
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Negative TB test results
  • Reliable computer and internet access available daily
  • Reliable transportation, CA driver's license, proof of auto insurance & willingness to drive throughout SFV area
  • Interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents, including the ability to be silly and have fun playing
  • Patience and empathy when addressing challenging behaviors
  • Commitment to our positive-only method, our mission, and to the highest standard of ethics
  • Reliability and dedication to working daily with our clients
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, kneel, sit and play on the floor, stand for long periods of time, and engage in fast-paced physical activities with children and teens
  • Willingness to work with clients of all ages (2-23), all behaviors (including aggressive or destructive behaviors), and all support needs (including hygiene, feeding, and mobility support)
