Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker B.E.S.S.T (Social Emotional Program) Start Date: September 1, 2025 We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor to join our Mansfield High School's Social Emotional Therapeutic Program, B.E.S.S.T (Believe Every Student Succeeds Today). This role is key to promoting mental health, emotional well-being and academic success of student's through individual support, group interventions, and social coaching. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate for students, strong communicator with families and outside agencies/supports as well as skilled in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and restorative practices. Responsibilities include: •Provide school counseling services in individual, group, and classroom settings to general education students, as well as students with IEP's and 504 plans •Provide services to address the social and emotional barriers to student achievement and in accordance with intervention, special education and 504 plans •Provide services to help develop age-appropriate skills and promote social, emotional, and academic growth in children in the school setting •Evaluate student skills and write reports to interpret/summarize findings •Work collaboratively with Special Education staff in the social and emotional classroom •Work collaboratively with General Education staff to support the implementation of our school-wide social and emotional learning curriculum •Attend meetings as assigned •Strong data-collection skills to help to inform decisions for students
