POSITION: Staff Psychiatrist
Department: Mental Health Services
Reports To: Chief Psychiatrist
Brief Description of Position: Full time psychiatric staff member needed to join our psychiatric team. This position is a fulltime position with duties distributed between Adult Outpatient, CIRC programs and Residential Services with schedule designed to meet the needs of these services as determined by CATCH, Inc. Chief Psychiatrist while trying to match a candidate's areas of interest to the extent that this is possible. Duties are to be performed during normal business hours from Monday through Friday.
General Duties to include:
- Psychiatric evaluations (initial and ongoing) with determination of diagnoses and developing a comprehensive treatment plan.
- Medication prescribing and monitoring
- Treatment Plan Review and approval
- Review of medical records
- Consultation with other members of the treatment team including case conferences and treatment team meetings.
- Psychiatric Crisis Intervention and participation in the Outpatient Division on-call and onsite psychiatrist schedules (limited to hours of operation - no evening or weekend coverage required).
- Telephone consultation when needed
- Completion of all required documentation in a timely manner utilizing our electronic health record (Evolv NX) and electronic prescribing program (Order Connect)
- Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with other team members, clinical and administrative, to coordinate patient care in a manner respectful to other team members, clients and their families while following psychiatric best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in psychiatry.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Work with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and billing processes.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Board-certification or eligibility for board certification in Psychiatry.
- Active Pennsylvania state medical license in good standing.
- Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Applicable computer and electronic health record experience preferred.
