Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities are clinical.
- Teaching within the clinical setting for graduate level learners from a variety of disciplines including medical students and pediatric residents.
Work Environment
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not usually subject the employee to any unpleasant elements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology with children, licensed psychologist (LP).
- Must have current license from the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) or be license eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work Experience:
- Desire to be a full-time clinical psychologist working in a department of pediatrics providing mental health care to children.
- Experience with clinical teaching at a medical institution in the behavioral pediatrics field is also welcome.
Skills:
- Young child mental health, evaluation and treatment of severe mental illness in children and adolescence, dialectical behavior therapy, young child behavior management, screening and treatment for suicide and self-harm in children.
- Strong professional, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as evidence in work history and application process. Ability and skills to provide teaching within the clinical setting for graduate learners from a variety of disciplines including medical students and pediatric residents. Strong organizational and planning skills.
