Are you a strategic HR leader who believes that people are the heart of every great company? Do you thrive in fast-paced, multi-department environments where no two days are the same? Greek Peak Mountain Resort is looking for an innovative, experienced, and values-driven Director of Human Resources to lead our HR initiatives and elevate the employee experience across our dynamic, hospitality-focused organization.

As the resort's top HR professional, you'll be a trusted advisor to executive leadership and a champion of organizational culture, performance, and compliance.
This is a full-time on-site position

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the President and leadership team, aligning HR with organizational goals.
  • Lead all facets of Human Resources including employee relations, safety and workers' compensation, organizational development, benefits, and performance management.
  • Build and refine systems for recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (ADA, FMLA, ERISA, OSHA, EEO, and NYS mandates).
  • Manage relationships with insurance brokers, TPAs, and employment legal counsel.
  • Ensure timely and compliant administration of 401(k), benefits, and payroll support systems.
  • Develop and coach HR team members and department heads to grow internal leadership capabilities.
  • Spearhead the implementation of HR technology and process improvement strategies.
What You Bring
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, preferably in hospitality, recreation, or seasonal businesses.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, particularly in NYS.
  • Leadership: A proven ability to guide executive teams, build consensus, and influence company culture.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal skills with a confident, approachable demeanor.
  • Certifications (Preferred): SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience implementing HRIS platforms and streamlining payroll and benefits systems.
