Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Indiana School Psychologist license.
- Knowledge of Indiana Article 7 and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with students with a wide range of disabilities.
- Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional, accessible reports for families.

Job Summary:
The school psychologist completes district-wide psychoeducational evaluations (Pre-K through 12th grade), including completing a case review, administering standardized assessments, creating a psychoeducational report, presenting findings to parents and staff at a case conference, and following up with students and teachers as needed after the evaluation is completed.
The person will actively seek to make connections with staff members in order to provide effective consultation services relating to student, classroom, or school-wide issues. In addition, the school psychologist will facilitate training for staff members as needed. The school psychologist will participate in Student/Teacher Advocate Team meetings by suggesting, designing, and implementing interventions, and using data-based decision making to track and monitor student progress and level of need. In addition, the staff member will engage in individual or small group intervention and counseling as needed (including academic, behavioral, and social emotional), and actively monitor the effectiveness of these services.
Special Education Evaluations (Preschool-12):
- Administer and score intellectual, academic, social/emotional/behavioral and other psychometric assessments.
- Interpret assessment data and provide clear, parent-friendly reports that inform eligibility decisions and instructional planning
- Participate in and/or lead multidisciplinary teams in the development, review and revision of IEPs.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and other professionals regarding educational interventions and behavior management strategies.
- Serve as a resource for school teams during the MTSS process and when referrals are being considered.
- Support the implementation of academic and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate with school personnel across the district to ensure consistency and continuity of services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district procedures.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology, as well as changes in Indiana and federal special education law.
Terms of Employment: Salary and work to be established by the board.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
