Under the general supervision of the Correctional Counselor II (Supervisor), the Correctional Counselor I (CCI) interviews incarcerated persons (IP) to gather information, reads, evaluates, reviews, and summarizes reports from a variety of sources to assist in classification of the IPs. Candidates new to CDCRare required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
