Job description

At the Shames JCC, we are hiring for our drop-in childcare program Kidspace.

Our program provides care to children ages 6 months - 8 years.

Counselors will work with the staff to create entertaining activities that engage children creatively, physically, and socially, in a safe atmosphere.

Counselors are employed part-time, Saturday and Sunday morning.

Schedule:

Saturday - 7:00am - 12:30pm and Sunday 7:00am - 1:00pm- must commit

to both days

Requirements:

Counselors must be at least 18 years of age and undergo a background check.

Qualifications:

Education and/or experience in camp, babysitting, education, or youth

recreation, preferred Strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm

for the program; counselors should enjoy actively engaging with

children Creativity; able to develop and implement children's games

and activities with minimal direction Good communication skills

Ability to organize and maintain inviting and safe play space

Reliability, patience, and a good sense of humor
