Now Hiring: Speech-Language Therapist & Music Therapist
Location: Neurodivergent Empowerment Institute (NEI) – St. Petersburg, FL

The Neurodivergent Empowerment Institute (NEI) is a first-of-its-kind therapeutic center designed to support neurodivergent individuals using strength-based, curiosity-centered, and empowerment-based integrative care. We are currently seeking both a Speech-Language Therapist and a Music Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. These positions offer the opportunity to work in an innovative, trauma-informed, and radically inclusive setting that redefines traditional models of care.
1. Speech-Language Therapist
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group speech therapy services focused on expressive/receptive communication, social communication, and functional language
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to multi-modal assessments for neurodivergent individuals
- Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, and educators to design holistic care plans
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools and neuroaffirming strategies
- Support communication skill-building that honors each individual's identity, autonomy, and needs
- Participate in staff trainings, peer case consults, and parent/caregiver workshops
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for Florida licensure
- Experience with neurodivergent children, teens, or adults (including autism, ADHD, apraxia, etc.)
- Familiarity with strength-based and trauma-informed communication approaches
- Open to new graduates and interns under supervision
2. Music Therapist
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead individual and group music therapy sessions to promote emotional expression, regulation, and connection
- Design interventions using songwriting, improvisation, rhythmic entrainment, vocalization, and guided listening
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including recreational, occupational, and somatic therapists
- Develop creative therapeutic experiences aligned with the Empowerment-Based Integrated Treatment (EBiT) model
- Participate in program development for IOPs, retreats, and community wellness events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program
- Certification (MT-BC) or eligibility to sit for board exam
- Passion for working with neurodivergent individuals in creative and affirming ways
- Experience with trauma recovery, sensory integration, or psychedelic integration a plus
- Interns welcome; supervision provided
