Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Support patients in developing coping strategies and skills for managing their conditions.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling and therapy.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy and clinical counseling settings.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and patient care principles.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in counseling practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
