● Extensive experience implementing ABA with individuals with autism, including children, teens, and young adults with autism (as a technician at minimum).
● Be open to learning how our clinic develops treatment plans, including behavior plans, based on our system of pinpointing deficits and excesses, or areas of need.
● Be willing to participate in conferences, consultations, trainings, etc., to stay on the cutting edge of newer developments in ABA and be willing to expand your knowledge base by incorporating new knowledge into your daily practice as a BCBA.
● Develop role-appropriate leadership skills that complement clinical competencies.
● Work with the Program Director with individualized programming for clients that achieve meaningful clinical outcomes.
● Conduct intake evaluations including Functional Behavioral Assessments and Practical Functional Assessments and skills assessments.
● Use evaluation tools such as VB-MAPP, EFL, PEAK, IGLR, just to name a few.
● Design behavioral treatment and skill acquisition plans with goals tailored to the individual.
● Ensure the behavior support plan addresses the function of the problem behavior, be flexible and open to using different interventions, such as the PFA, ACT, etc.
● Define all target behaviors in objective and measurable terms and design an appropriate data collection system to measure the target behaviors.
● Integrate appropriate setting event, antecedent, teaching, and consequences strategies to reduce problem behavior and increase alternative replacement behaviors.
● Train staff and family members directly (i.e., in person, with opportunities for questions, discussion, etc.) on the implementation of the behavior support plan, as well as any skills based instruction, or teaching programs.
● Monitor the individual’s behavior data on a weekly basis. Conduct treatment fidelity assessments to ensure proper implementation of the behavior plan.
● Graph data, including problem behavior data and program data, and be open to learning to use the Standard Celeration Chart (SCC) to chart progress, as well as Excel.
● Analyze available data to help determine where, when, and why problem behaviors occur.
● If the intervention has not produced substantial progress, analyze the potential barriers to implementation and liaise with the Program Director about what changes might need to be made.
● Monitor and assess therapist implementation of all teaching procedures, behavior procedures, and the data they collect, and provide direct training to appropriate staff about any discrepancies. In general, coach, mentor, and develop RBTs in providing high quality care.
● In general, supervise and train ABA technicians and RBTs on a daily basis.
● Completes regularly scheduled parent trainings, and train parents, caregivers on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and use skills based teaching to move parents through the implementation of child specific parent goals.
● Check each session summary (internal documentation of services provided) at the end of each therapy day to ensure that time, date, signatures, and information recorded are correct).
● Work with the Program Director to update treatment plans and obtain pre-authorization for services.

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
