We are seeking to add a Full-Time, Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital, a leading provider of mental health services in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions through personalized care that may include psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, and hospitalization when necessary. The position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients' mental and emotional health, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure the medical stability of patients. About The Role

The Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Summary

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
• Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
  
  

Licenses/Certifications

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
