The purpose of this role is to develop best in class strategies and management of all Paid Social activity on assigned clients, to manage and develop the team and serve as a point of escalation as needed.

Job Description:

dentsu is seeking a (Temporary Employee) Director of Paid Social for one of its largest accounts. In this role, you will need to be an expert in all paid social platforms, work closely with a high touch client and oversee the QA process, and the strategy and execution on the account on a day to day basis. You will report to the SVP, Paid Social.

You will also lead client strategy when it comes to paid social, from implementing to optimizing to reporting on campaigns. You have overseen all aspects of Paid Social planning and activations, are current with industry best practices and understand the importance of audience-first planning. Important to this position is an understanding of how paid social impacts the bottom line, ensures that success is measured the right way, and is provided to our clients in a relevant way. You will have experience delivering outstanding media strategy and experience managing a highly engaged team.

Responsibilities:

Understand the various marketing challenges that our clients face, while empowering your team to think creatively and strategically across all lines of business
Must be an inspiring and dynamic manager that can develop an engaged team while bearing accountability for all deliverables and work produced by the team.
Maintain processes and efficiencies for agency-wide collaboration (Media, Analytics, Account Management, Insights & Planning, Social Strategy, Community Management and Creative).

Qualifications:

8+ years of paid social experience; leading teams, communicating directly with clients at the executive level
3+ years managerial experience; overseeing a team of employees at a media or full-service ad agency
Deep knowledge of the paid social landscape and trends, particularly on mobile apps
Experience leading a high-profile account with very large budgets; experienced in media analytics, strategy and holistic media solutions
Experience growing/expanding existing business and participate in new business pitches and department-wide plans
Role can be remote. Ideally work PST hours.

The assignment will begin ASAP and run through the end of September 2025, with possibility to extend. This is a Temporary Employee role on W2 dentsu payroll.

The hourly pay range for this position is $ 54.33 - $ 87.91. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
