Psychiatrist (Part-Time) – LGBTQ+ Recovery Program
Location: Cleveland, OH (On-Site)
Schedule: 20 Hours/Week | No Weekends
About the Opportunity
An inclusive, mission-driven recovery center in Cleveland is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join its multidisciplinary team. This role provides the opportunity to support LGBTQ+ individuals in a structured, affirming environment focused on sobriety, wellness, and long-term recovery.
You’ll work across multiple levels of care (residential, IOP, PHP, and aftercare) and collaborate with a supportive, interdisciplinary treatment team. The schedule is flexible—no weekend shifts or formal on-call duties—and includes a mix of full and half days on-site at the center’s westside Cleveland location.
This is a contract position offering $100/hour and the option for employer-paid malpractice coverage (including tail) or reimbursement if you carry your own policy.
Schedule & Hours
- 20 hours/week:
- Two 8-hour days (ideally Tuesday + Thursday or Friday)
- One 4-hour half-day (ideally Wednesday; flexible)
- No weekend shifts
- May receive occasional calls, but no formal on-call responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and establish DSM-5 diagnoses
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Participate in case conferences and collaborate on individualized treatment planning
- Provide brief psychotherapy and crisis interventions when needed
- Coordinate care with external providers as appropriate
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation within the EHR (CareLogic)
Client Caseload
- Residential: 20–25 clients (maximum 35)
- Intensive Outpatient (IOP): ~12 clients
- Partial Hospitalization (PHP): ~8 clients
- Aftercare: ~6 clients
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with completed Psychiatry residency
- Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license
- Current DEA license and Medicaid number
- 2–3 years of post-residency clinical experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong cultural competence and/or connection to the LGBTQ+ community
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CareLogic EHR and CARF accreditation standards
- Experience working in a Therapeutic Community model
- Prior experience in substance use treatment settings
