About Job

Make a Difference with Remedy Behavioral Health
At Remedy Behavioral Health, we believe in compassionate, individualized care rooted in a whole-person approach. We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intake Coordinator to join our team and support the essential first step in connecting patients to the care they need.

If you're organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment—especially one involving long-term care settings like nursing homes or assisted living—this role is for you.

About the Role

As our Intake Coordinator, you’ll manage the intake process for patients referred from long-term care and outpatient facilities. You’ll verify insurance, enter data into our EMR system, coordinate authorizations, and communicate with both internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth transition for each patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter patient demographics and insurance details into the EMR system
  • Verify insurance benefits, secure prior authorizations, and confirm eligibility
  • Communicate with referral sources, insurance companies, and providers
  • Coordinate intake appointments and track referral progress
  • Ensure full HIPAA and regulatory compliance throughout the intake process
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Teams to manage information and internal communication
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and suggest process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive health information with discretion
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance verification or intake for long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or outpatient behavioral health
  • Familiarity with verifying coverage for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and a passion for healthcare

Why Join Remedy?

  • Be part of a mission-driven team that’s transforming lives through mental health care
  • Work in a collaborative, supportive environment
  • Gain valuable experience in behavioral healthcare coordination
  • Play a meaningful role in helping patients access the care they need

Apply today to join a team that values compassion, communication, and excellence in behavioral health. We’re excited to meet you!
