Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling and behavioral health, with the ability to provide effective support to individuals across various age groups, including children and geriatrics. This role requires a commitment to promoting mental wellness and enhancing the quality of life for clients through therapeutic interventions.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to address behavioral issues.
- Provide behavior management strategies for clients in outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay informed about advancements in psychopharmacology to support medication management when necessary.
- Engage with families to provide education and support regarding mental health issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis and clinical counseling techniques.
- Strong understanding of behavior management practices.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology as it relates to mental health treatment.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Familiarity with outpatient behavioral health services.
- Ability to conduct effective individual and group counseling sessions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction and documentation.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong desire to help individuals achieve their mental health goals.
