Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in an outpatient setting, providing essential mental health counseling and support. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to our clients, focusing on their emotional and psychological well-being.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices in behavioral therapy.
- Facilitate grief counseling sessions for individuals coping with loss or trauma.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each child or adolescent.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Engage with families to provide support and resources for ongoing mental health care.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an outpatient mental health setting is required.
- Strong background in mental health counseling, including individual and group therapy techniques.
- Proficiency in patient assessment and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Experience in grief counseling is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education principles is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

Must have or be willing to obtain documentation of current certification in the CHild and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS) or the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA).

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
