Job Description:
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Social Worker, Post-Doctoral Psychologist, or licensed Psychologist located in Commack, NY. This provider will be responsible for providing psychological assessment, counseling, and behavioral / cognitive-behavioral services to clients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting psychological evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and offering therapeutic interventions. The provider will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavior assessments
-Conduct patient assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective treatment interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Provide counseling services to individuals and groups
- Work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families to develop strategies for managing symptoms and improving quality of life
Qualifications:
-Advanced knowledge and at least some experience with behavioral and cognitive behavioral interventions
- Master's degree in Social Work OR a doctoral degree in Psychology or related field
- Current licensure in New York State or eligible for New York State supervision for licensure
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

-Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $80.00 - $150.00 per hour
