Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health /Substance Use Disorder Clinician to work on a Full-Time basis working in the community and out of Helio Health’s Rochester Outpatient Program. The Street Outreach program focuses on providing evidence-based harm reduction interventions while connecting with people with substance use disorders, not currently engaged in care and at highest risk of near-term death of overdose. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the Licensed Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Clinician will engage Monroe County community members with SUD in understanding the types of treatment available to them in the community, provide an assessment and complete a referral to the most appropriate level of care. The Clinician will also engage family/social support in understanding treatment options and how to access those options as well as education on harm reduction practices.

 

The schedule will be Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

 

Pay Rate: $24.00- $30.00 per hour.

 

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time Licensed Counselors/Therapists are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive between $3,000-$8,000 depending on licensure!

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a case load.
  • Perform essential counseling/therapist responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.  
  • Assist with the training of staff, volunteers and student interns as assigned.
  • Exhibit exemplary knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of substance use disorders/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group processes, and principles of counseling.   
  • Relate effectively with staff, patients, and professional community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality. 

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid professional License (including but not limited to LMSW, LCSW, LMHC) or Credential (including but not limited to CASAC, CPP, CPS etc.) 
    • Limited Permit (LP) Licenses are acceptable
  • Master's Degree preferred, bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience conducting evaluations and assessments.      
  • Two years employment experience in the Human Services field.        
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.      
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
