Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals achieve their behavioral health goals. As a Behavioral Therapist, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement effective care plans, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote positive behavior change. This role requires a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations while providing high-quality support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' behavioral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to address specific challenges faced by clients.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Monitor client progress through regular data collection and documentation of behavioral changes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide behavior management strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field of special education and behavioral therapy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in patient care or direct support roles within behavioral health settings.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand care plans effectively.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and data collection methods.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate clients effectively.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in special education or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
