After School Boost Counselor
An established multi-activity center located in the beautiful Belle Meade area of Nashville is seeking positive, self-motivated, and energetic individuals who have a passion for working with kids.
Now accepting applications for After School Boost Counselors. Must be able to lead and oversee groups of children through various classroom and physical activities in a positive learning environment. Activity plans include recreational time in classroom and fieldhouse areas. This position is for the 25-26 school year. Typical shifts are Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-6:15pm. Role starts in August 2025.
A background in early childhood development and education a plus!

Shifts vary depending on position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead After School activities that are applicable to participant readiness, age, class type and class level.
- Review activity plans with Program Director and other appropriate individuals weekly and daily.
- Conduct lessons according to schedule for the duration of the activity; start and finish rotations on time.
- Actively supervise and/or instruct all participants for full duration of After School from start time to end time.
- Provide ongoing safety instruction to participants according to risk management guidelines.
- Provide quality instruction according to the activity plan to meet goals engaging all students to have fun while learning.
- Enforce safety protocol and maintain a safe environment at all times for all concerned.
- Immediately report injury and/or suspicious incidents to the Program Director; complete and submit incident report.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training clinics.
- Complete required courses and maintain current certifications required and relevant to job.
Qualifications:
- Weekday availability to accommodate After School schedule.
- Ability to work effectively with children ages 5-10, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and fellow counselors.
- College degree completed/in progress or equivalent industry experience (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year relevant instructional, teaching or childcare experience (Required)
- Complete program specific certifications (Required)

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
