ROOTs Transition is dedicated to supporting females aged 15-18 who have experienced attachment, relational, or developmental trauma. We employ a unique hybrid approach that combines outdoor reflection with residential integration. Our mission is guided by our principle, Reclaiming Our Original Truths (ROOTs), and we are committed to providing intentional programming through a trauma-informed lens.

Position Overview:
As a Guide at ROOTs Transition, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our clients. Your responsibilities include building meaningful relationships, engaging in insightful conversations, and serving as a positive role model. Guides collaborate closely with licensed clinical therapists to implement and support therapeutic treatment plans. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social work and psychology while making a significant impact on our clients' journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of clients.
• Show compassion and understanding during challenging interactions.
• Exercise sound judgment and maintain professional boundaries.
• Act as a positive role model for clients.
• Engage in learning about trauma-informed care practices.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Background in family studies, social work, or psychology is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with adolescent females is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Wage and Benefits:

• Starting Pay: $19 per hour (commensurate with experience and education).

Job Type:

• Full-time and Part-time Positions Available.
• Weekend Shifts Required.
• Shift Options: (currently hiring for evening shift)
• Morning: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
• Evening: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
