Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their personal challenges. As a Counselor, you will provide support through individual and group therapy sessions, conduct patient assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. This role requires a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations while fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Provide child family counseling when necessary, addressing the unique needs of children and their families.
  • Implement group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue, support, and personal growth among participants.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing research to stay current with best practices in behavioral health and mental health counseling.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification in mental health counseling.
  • Experience in mental health counseling, including individual group counseling and behavioral health practices.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Proficient in motivational interviewing techniques and behavioral therapy methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in child family counseling is preferred but not mandatory.
