A Client Care Counsellor manages clients facing urgent or crisis situations requiring immediate attention via telephone or chat modalities. Taking care of our clients’ means evaluating needs, assessing risks, crisis containment, assisting in single sessions and providing necessary resources to resolve challenges. Our crisis line is open 24/7, 365 days a year, and our Client Care Counsellors need to be available to support clients evenings, weekends and stat holidays. Responsibilities include providing immediate telephone crisis counseling/interventions to employees and family members of customer organizations, management consultation to key employees, information and support for trauma or workplace interventions, responding to warm transfers, identifying problems and determining service response levels, assessing client needs, and providing telephone counseling or booking appointments. Core qualifications include a Clinical Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sexology, Clinical Counseling, Clinical Psychology or related field, flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, strong computer skills, risk assessment skills, good clinical judgment, professionalism, ability to work over phone and chat, and strong empathy and listening skills.
