What You Will Do
- Assesses psychosocial needs of patients and their families and develops appropriate intervention/treatment plans to meet identified needs.
- Provides direct clinical social work service to and their families in relation to social and environmental problems.
- Provides direct clinical social work service to in relation to emotional problems.
- Consults and collaborates with the patient care team regarding continuity of patient care.
- Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor's Degree Social Work required
- 3-5 years Must have at least three (3) years of related experience required
- 1-3 years One year of professional practice, which includes Social Work internships required
- School Social Work Experience preferred
- Ability to use a variety of patient/family /group treatment modalities.
- A broad theoretical base of knowledge regarding aspects of behavior and the ability to apply knowledge as needed.
- A thorough understanding of the consultation/collaboration process.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of own and others' work flow.
- Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of Associates, management, physicians, patients/families, and representatives of community agencies.
- Licensed School Social Worker Tennessee -Tennessee Board of Social Workers preferred
- There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
