The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within a healthcare setting. Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff to facilitate care delivery.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes as needed.
- Educate patients on procedures, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical office operations and administrative support is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in a dental office setting is a plus but not mandatory.
