About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join a specialized educational program supporting children with autism and developmental disabilities. As the Behavior Services Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in developing and implementing trauma-informed, data-driven behavior intervention strategies in both classroom and community settings.
This is an opportunity to create meaningful change while leading a small behavior team and collaborating with educators, families, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Educational Testing (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS)
- Design and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with school staff to implement Positive Programming strategies
- Track student data and adjust interventions as needed
- Supervise and train behavior support staff
- Lead weekly department meetings and conduct staff performance reviews
- Participate in crisis response, debriefs, and restraint/time-out protocols
- Ensure compliance with ISBE regulations and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide training in behavior protocols and therapeutic models
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Psychology, or School Psychology
- Active BCBA certification (Required)
- Experience in trauma-informed care, classroom consultation, and data collection
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage crisis situations and lift up to 75 lbs
- Knowledge of the Illinois State Board of Education behavior guidelines (preferred)
