Software Engineer - Equities MFT
A prestigious multi-billion dollar hedge fund is seeking a highly capable Software Engineer to join their Mid-Frequency Equities trading team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining systematic trading strategies across global equity markets, and the role focuses on designing, optimizing, and scaling the core trading infrastructure that supports signal generation, execution, and portfolio management.
You will work alongside quantitative researchers and traders to build reliable systems that enable rapid research iteration and consistent trading performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for mid-frequency equity trading, including signal processing, order management, and execution infrastructure.
- Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to translate trading strategies into performant, scalable code.
- Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and fault tolerance, particularly in relation to market data processing and trade execution.
- Contribute to the architecture of the trading platform, ensuring modularity, testability, and extensibility.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in production environments, including those related to exchange connectivity and real-time data integration.
Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of systems programming, performance optimization, and clean software design.
- Experience working with equity trading systems, particularly in mid-frequency
- Solid understanding of market microstructure, exchange protocols, and real-time data.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and high-performance computing in a trading context.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with quants, traders, and other engineers.
