Location: Hybrid – Remote & On-site (Supai, Arizona)
Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Contract Duration: Base Year + Four (4) Option Years (Renewable annually upon performance)Position Summary:
Augustine Angels is seeking a qualified and experienced School Psychologist to fulfill a government contract for the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) at Havasupai Elementary School (HES), located in Supai, Arizona. This role includes providing psycho-educational assessments, participating in IEP meetings, preparing formal reports, and collaborating with school teams both on-site and remotely.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide school psychology services including psycho-educational diagnostics and assessments.
  • Attend and participate in IEP, MDT, and special education-related meetings.
  • Conduct evaluations and complete all reports within required timelines (30-45 days).
  • Meet monthly with school teams to discuss caseload, referrals, and triennial evaluations.
  • Submit all required documentation including NASIS Summary Reports, recommendations, and individualized psycho-educational evaluations.
  • Travel monthly to Supai, AZ (including helicopter transport when required) and provide services onsite at HES.
  • Communicate findings to families and school staff, and support eligibility determination and educational planning.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Active license as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Arizona within one year).
  • National Certification (NCSP) from the National School Psychology Certification Board (preferred).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing school-based psychological services.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations is highly preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel monthly to a remote site.
Additional Requirements:
  • Signed Letter of Commitment stating availability and agreement to contract terms.
  • Willingness to attend monthly onsite visits, with possible overnight stays at the lodge in Supai.
  • Ability to submit reports electronically and participate in virtual meetings as needed.
Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly rate (all-inclusive of labor, travel time, and administrative duties).
  • Separate travel reimbursement for helicopter flights, lodging, and ground transportation.
  • Contract bonuses available for consistent performance and timely report submissions.
