Job Title : IBM Sterling File Gateway Engineer – AWS | MFT | Python | DevOps

Job Type : C2C / W2

Experience : 4+ Years

Location : Richmond, Virginia / Plano, Texas

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Sterling File Gateway and Sterling Integrator in a multi-node, clustered (active-active) environment.
• Deploy and maintain Sterling components on AWS Cloud, ensuring integration with network and database services.
• Perform infrastructure automation and monitoring using Python scripting and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
• Develop and manage Business Processes (BPML) to support secure B2B file exchanges.
• Execute enhancement and patching activities for Sterling environments hosted on AWS.
• Ensure system health through log monitoring, performance tuning, and failover testing.
• Integrate Sterling with AWS-native services such as S3 (for staging/storage), CloudWatch (for monitoring), and IAM (for access control).
• Validate MFT operations using Unix, FSTP, SFTP, and Direct Connect protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity, message failures, and protocol mismatches in high-volume file transfers.
• Maintain environment documentation, including configurations, connection details, and system dependencies.
• Stay up to date with Sterling product updates, AWS best practices, and security configurations.
• IBM Sterling File Gateway Certification is a strong plus and preferred for this role.

• Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, or any other related field.
