- Developing and implementing recovery-focused service plans
- Teaching daily living and coping skills
- Supporting individuals during crisis situations
- Collaborating with families, agencies, and community partners
- Mentoring staff and modeling professional best practices
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation
- Representing CRi at meetings and in the community
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP or must be a LMFT, LSATP or LPC in good standing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be knowledgeable of the following topics:
- The nature of serious mental illness in adults.
- Treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination.
- Clinical assessments and their use in service planning.
- Consumers' rights.
- Local community resources and service delivery systems.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication principles and techniques.
- Nutrition.
- General principles to record documentation.
- The service planning process and major components of a service plan.
