Many of our patients are receiving their first experience with quality, mental health care-and it starts with you.Position SummaryAs an Associate Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee in our facility, you'll do more than care for patients - you'll lead, support, and advocate. Under the direct supervision of the designated Wexford Health manager and clinical supervision from a Psychologist or clinically licensed QMHP, you will provide mental health services to individuals in our care. Responsibilities include assessments, consultations, liaison activities, and appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions.You'll do more than just deliver mental health care.

What You'll Need:Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychologyLicensure is not required to start; however, candidates must obtain an LSW, LPC, ALMFT, LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within 960 hours of employment.Candidates must also demonstrate eligibility for licensure pending completion of the respective licensure exam. Eligibility can be demonstrated through the completion of a Master's or Doctoral program that meets IDFPR board approval, such as:A Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited Master's programA Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited Master's programA program accredited by the Council for the National Registry of Health Service ProvidersAn American Psychological Association (APA) -accredited doctoral programCPR certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI)Strong interpersonal, clinical, and documentation skills * A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care

Correctional experience is a plus, but not required
