Tech Lead - Futures MFT

A leading proprietary trading firm is looking for a Tech Lead to spearhead the buildout of a new Futures Mid-Frequency Trading platform. This is a hands-on leadership role within a newly formed team focused on designing infrastructure that supports signal generation, strategy research, and execution in the global futures markets.

You’ll lead the technical direction of the platform, working closely with traders and quantitative researchers to build scalable, production-ready systems for mid-frequency alpha generation. As the key technical point of contact, you’ll play a central role in defining architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring seamless integration between research and trading workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and implementation of research and production systems for futures MFT strategies.
• Collaborate closely with traders and quants to understand strategy requirements and translate them into robust engineering solutions.
• Build infrastructure to support model development, data processing, signal integration, and execution logic.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical mentorship to a small, high-performing team.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows.

What You’ll Need:

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in Python and ideally C++ or other performance-oriented languages.
• Prior experience working on futures trading systems, preferably in a mid-frequency or signal-driven environment.
• Deep understanding of the trading lifecycle and how technology enables execution, alpha generation, and risk management.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with traders, quants, and fellow engineers.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects end-to-end, from architecture to deployment.
• Familiarity with financial data structures, market microstructure, and execution strategies in futures markets.
