Job Title: Behavior Technician

Position Overview: Join our compassionate team at Strides ABA as a Behavior Technician, where you will have the rewarding opportunity to work with children facing developmental challenges. In this role, you will provide essential in-home, community-based, or daycare support, ensuring every child has the chance to reach their fullest potential. You will work under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized therapy plans, collect important data, and utilize positive reinforcement strategies to enhance the quality of life for our clients. You will also collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and clinical professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in various settings, including homes and daycare centers.
- Execute tailored treatment plans designed by the BCBA to meet each child's specific needs.
- Monitor, document, and analyze client behavior and progress meticulously.
- Work in partnership with the BCBA to optimize client care outcomes.
- Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for clients.
- Engage with clients and their families in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner.
Qualifications:
- Must either be RBT certified or be willing to pursue certification (we offer resources to help you get certified).
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, as assisting clients may require mobility support.
- Able to kneel, sit, stand, and move around actively during therapy sessions.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community or in-home services are essential.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of ABA principles is preferred, though training will be provided.
Legal Requirements:
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and data security.
- Adherence to federal, state, and local laws regarding child welfare and mandatory reporting.
- Physical ability to assist with safety protocols, including lifting or moving clients when necessary.
