About Job

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides information to crime victims concerning the services available and victims' rights under F.S.S. 960;
  • Assists crime victims in criminal justice advocacy;
  • Provides data entry for grant statistics;
  • Updates program directory listing community services available to crime victims;
  • Refers crime victims to proper service providers;
  • Must be aware of applicable laws and statutes;
  • Assists the victim/witness and the FCSO with courts, social services, and/or government agencies;
  • Serves as a representative, by sitting on diversified boards of agencies that provide services to residents of Flagler County in order to better offer a comprehensive look at the needs and services that are being offered and provided for crime victims;
  • Stays updated through continuing education and training on updates of new laws and statutes;
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Selection Criteria:

  • Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma recognized by the State of Florida; AND
  • Must have current, valid FL Driver's License; AND
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word and MS Excel; AND
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend professional manuals, procedures, journals and documents, summaries and evaluations; AND
  • Must be able to speak clearly and concisely to layman; AND
  • Must be willing/able to be available for call out 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year when you are scheduled to be on call.
