Job description - BCBA Clinical Supervisor (Alexandria, VA and Virginia Beach, VA)
We seek a dedicated and experienced BCBA Clinical Supervisor to oversee and enhance the quality of care our clients receive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities and a commitment to mentorship, one-on-one clinical staff development, and supervision.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including RBTs and BTs, ensuring high standards of client care and professional growth.
- Conduct client assessments to develop individualized treatment plans that align with applied behavior analysis principles.
- Provide mentorship to RBTs and BTs, fostering skill development through structured supervision, training recommendations, observations, and performance feedback.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with corrective guidance, mentorship, documentation, and HIPAA regulation compliance. Oversee ethical compliance daily within the clinic.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including caregivers and educators, to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for individuals with disabilities.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support client development while ensuring staff competency in intervention strategies.
- Lead professional development initiatives with hands-on learning experiences for clinical staff.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans to ensure data-driven decision-making and goal achievement.
- Serve as an advocate for clients, ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld within the clinical setting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- BCBA Certification (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
- LBA (Licensed Behavior Analyst) - Virginia required.
- Proven experience in a clinical supervisory role, emphasizing mentorship and staff training.
- Knowledge of special education practices, behavior intervention strategies, and medical terminology related to ABA therapy.
- Strong understanding of behavior assessment techniques, patient care protocols, and ethical standards in ABA.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback and support a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including training and mentorship programs for clinical staff.
