OverviewWestern Michigan University Homer Stryker, MD, School of Medicine is hiring for a Part-Time Pediatric Psychology Intern. The Clinical / Counseling Psychology internship/practica/elective is designed to provide clinical training in mental health services provided in a primary care setting. Clinical Interviewing.
Psychological assessment (administering, scoring and interpretation).
Integrative report writing.
Participation in Integrated Behavioral Health. This service is provided alongside our physicians, medical students, and residents in our pediatric outpatient clinic. Psychology students conduct brief psychosocial assessments and follow up appointments.
Autism evaluations.
Availability to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time sensitive projects.
Acquires knowledge for new technology and policy/procedure revisions.
All other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Masters or doctoral level psychology students pursuing licensure as a limited or fully licensed psychologist.
Successful completion of psychological assessment coursework.
Minimum 20 hours per week (Fall & Spring Semesters or Both Summer sessions & Fall or Spring and Both Summer sessions).

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities in organization of workflow.
Able to perform duties independently, with a minimal need for direct supervision.
