Full Time postion, ranging from $35-$50 per hour based on experiene and skill set, Tuesday through Saturday

What you will do:

Plan, organize, direct, or assess clinical and evidenced-based music therapy interventions to positively influence resident’s physical, psychological, cognitive, or behavioral status

What you will need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in music or music therapy from an accredited program.
  • Board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
  • Strong musical skills and proficiency in at least one instrument
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities include but aren’t limited too:

  • Evaluate clients’ needs, strengths, and preferences through interviews, observations, and standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate music to achieve specific therapeutic goals.
  • With the resident utilize a variety of music therapy techniques, including songwriting, improvisation, music listening, and guided imagery, to facilitate healing and personal growth.
  • Collect data and assess resident needs to facilitate the best care approach to intervein with music modalities
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on regular assessments and feedback
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to provide comprehensive care and support, working loosely with the Interdisciplinary Team to formulate a plan for holistic resident goals
  • Promote education and advocacy for clients, families, and the community about the benefits of music therapy and advocate for its inclusion in treatment plans.
